GreenCore Composites Inc. manufactures NCell™ natural fibre reinforced composite compounds. These compounds are for companies seeking more environmentally friendly and advanced materials to inject mold or extrude industrial and consumer products ranging from automotive parts to rigid containers, sports equipment and furniture.

GreenCore was formed to commercialize platform technology from the University of Toronto and started production in March 2008 in Mississauga, Ontario, with the installation and development of pilot production line.

NCell™ materials, a combination of micro-fibres and thermoplastic polymers, are uniquely strong and meet the need for lightweight products that use less energy to manufacture, reduce tool-and-die wear, and provide costs savings when compared to glass reinforced polymers. The materials can be molded on conventional production equipment.

Key objectives include further process improvement, developing enhanced product range and establishing material sales, leading to the installation of a full scale production facility at a shared manufacturing site.
